The Software Engineering Group works on a wide range of software projects, from core internal infrastructure tools to innovative data visualization methods and novel computer vision models.
The Group is in charge of maintaining the CZ Biohub SF’s Github presence and enforcing our Github repository rules; developing and maintaining critical software infrastructure, such as sample submission systems and analysis pipelines for the Genomics and Mass Spectrometry platforms and public-facing data portals; acting as a hub for coordinating cross-team software development efforts to avoid duplication of effort; and educating other software developers at Biohub SF on best development practices.
Data portals such as Zebrahub and OpenCell are used by thousands of scientists all over the world.
